14 People Killed and At Least 50 Shot in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Massacre
Last night 14 people were killed and roughly people were injured in a shooting last night at a movie theater in Colorado during the The Dark Knight Rises premier.
The shooter waited until gun shots and explosions rang out in a scene from the movie to release tear gas and start spraying bullets into the crowd of confused movie goers. Dozens up people scrambled to leave the theater to escape the wave of bullets. Some managed to escape while others sadly lost their lives that night.
After the aftermath the shooter was apprehended by authorities and was wearing a gas mask and a vest. He informed authorities that he had explosives and more weapons at his home. An investigation is now under way.
