Well, it looks like the logo that was leaked for the Brooklyn Nets last week turns out to be authentic.  Today the Nets officially unveiled their new logo and team colors along with a commercial celebrating the team’s new location in Brooklyn, New York.

The new logo was actually designed by minority team owner Jay-Z and features a simple black and white color scheme. The simple design was actually inspired by New York City subway signs dating back from 1957.

There’s always elegance in simplicity but I feel that logo is just too plain.  Either way they have the brand of Jay-Z backing the team so they’ll be good as far as ticket and merchandise sales.  Lets see how long it takes before they can actually win.  #Knicksfan til the death, but I’ll support this team.
