Get It How U Live: A Somewhat Terse Look Into the History of Cash Money Records
Cash Money has had a pretty fabled story in Hip Hop history when you really think about it. I remember back in the days when the Hot Boyz first came out (from my time living in Charleston), back when almost all Southern Hip Hop was underground.
Back then No Limit and P and them were just starting their run, which helped push the South into the mainstream and helped open the door for a lot of the underground labels and acts below the Mason-Dixon line to come into the forefront. One such label that capitalized on the push was Cash Money Records.
With that being said, I present a very rough and abridged history of Cash Money’s rise to mega-stardom.
